"Bird" (selected for Southwark Arts Forum "Tides of Change/Art at the Bridge" No 6 exhibition at Tower Bridge, London, 2015. Mixed media, 60 cm x 40 cm (Private Collection). This piece refers to the ongoing excavations of Civil War (1936-39) mass-graves in Spain.
Rocks. Mixed-media (acrylic paint on foil, roofing-felt, gold paper and modrock on hardboard). 160 cm x 60 cm. £600.
Hopscotch (mixed media) 60 cm x 40 cm. £250
Pool (Mixed-media prize runner-up, Art Academy, London Bridge 2015). 100 cm x 60 cm. £600 Polystyrene debris, plastic and metal waste, glue, filler etc on MDF. A reference to the carpet-bombing of Homs in Syria.
"Bird" (head detail). The composition, colours and skeletal "eagle" reference the fascist version of the Spanish flag under Franco. I use roofing-felt, glue, filler, galvanised nails and tacks on hardboard to obtain a wasted, decaying effect.

Pool (detail). I want to leave a glimmer of hope amidst the horror of war. The blue swimming pool represents this.

"Jade close-up". 30 cm x 21 cm. £90, edition of 12. Processed photographic detail from larger acrylic-on-canvas painting (also on this site). Enlarged and printed onto 225g matte paper, in card mount.
